Gaffer Russet is a wonderful reddish brown, which is really easy to use and goes well with many other colours.
We are currently doing a special offer on the Russet rods. The more you buy the better the discount. For 500g (1/2kg) you will get 20% off the original price and for 1000g (1kg) you will get 25% off the original price. Gaffer rods are hand pulled and vary in diameter, some are thick and some are thin; some of the rods also vary in diameter from one end of the rod to the other end.
The price is for 100g Gaffer rods, CoE 96, which is compatible with glass of a CoE 90 to 104 when using about 5%. Or any amount can be used on glass with the same or similar CoE. The Reichenbach, Gaffer, Kugler and Uroboros - System 96 glass are all compatible with each other.
Gaffer rods are hand pulled and vary in diameter, sometimes thicker and thinner parts throughout the rods. The diameter ranges from approximately 2mm to 6mm. The rod lenghts are approximately 18 inches (46cm).
The annealing point for Reichenbach, Gaffer, Kugler and Uroboros-System 96 glass is the same as that of glass with a CoE 104.
The beads below are to provide and example: the first and second sets have been made with Gaffer Russet, Turquoise, Duck Egg White and Blue Chalcedony, with a touch of silver foil. The third set are Gaffer Russet spacer beads.
